Although furniture classified as contemporary typically feature clean straight lines, the Bell'O PVS3103 Audio/Video System Stand, in spite of its rounded corners and curved shelves, manages to exude a modern look.
It features glass shelves supported by a frame made of metal. It is a little less than 42 inches in width, 20 inches in depth, and approximately 22 inches in height. With these measurements, it can accommodate flat panel TV sets with screen sizes of up to 52 inches. And with its sturdy steel frame, it can support a total weight load of 250 pounds.
All three glass shelves are scalloped, with the top shelf having the additional flourish of curved corners. They taper towards the rear, making the stand suitable for a corner installation, which is perfect for a room with limited space. The shelves are tinted in gray, and tempered to make them sufficiently strong to take the weight of your audiovisual equipment.
The top shelf carrying the TV set can support a load of 125 pounds, while the middle shelf can take 50 and the one at the bottom, 75. The space between the shelves is 8.5 inches, giving you enough space for a Blu-ray disc player, extra speaker, game console, or TV cable box. The shelves are open to allow the free flow of air to cool your equipment.
The metal frame complements the scalloped shelves with its own flared front legs. Its entire front part is hand-painted with to make it look like dark cherry wood. The rear portion, however, is colored black.
The back end, on the other hand, is powder coated with black paint that resists scratches, rust, and corrosion. It includes a CMS cable management system to keep the wires connecting your audiovisual devices with each other neat, organized, and concealed.
