Built to hold flat panel TV sets with large screen sizes, the Coaster Console Plasma TV Stand stretches to a width of 60 inches. Its height of 23.625 inches puts the TV at a level that prevents you from either looking up to or down on the screen while you are seated on your couch, thus preventing neck strain. It is 17.75 inches deep providing plenty of room for installing your other audiovisual equipment.
The TV stand is constructed from wood and is coated with a cappuccino finish, giving it an air of elegance and flair. Its plain and unembellished design contributes to its good looks. Featuring only sharp corners and straight lines, the stand is avowedly modern.
Although the stand's top is mostly made of wood, there is a hollowed out portion with the shape of a rectangle with rounded corners. The hole is not left gaping though. It is covered with a transparent glass revealing the insides of the drawer beneath it. What is inside is a power drawer, dubbed Connect-It by Coaster, where you can charge your cell phone, MP3 player, T-Mobile 7" Google tablet, or digital camera.
Behind the drawer is an electric extension with a row of four power outlets, complete with an on/off switch and a fuse. A portion of the front of the drawer is also covered with glass, which, like the glass on the top, allows you to see if your devices are already fully charged without having to open the drawer.
Beside the Connect-It drawer are two others where you can keep the paraphernalia of your home entertainment system. Below them are three columns consisting of two shelves each. The middle set of shelves is protected with a glass door framed in wood. It is here where you should install your Blu-ray disc player, TV box, or game console.
The shelves flanking the one in the middle are open. Your DVDs, CDs, and perhaps a few books and other decorative items can be displayed on them.
Completing the Coaster Console Plasma TV Stand is a wire management system that keeps the cables and wires connecting your TV with the other devices neat and organized.
