Looking unique and very stylish with its triangular accent, the Furnitech FT64NH Contemporary TV Entertainment Console will probably attract attention as much as the large flat panel HDTV sitting on it. True to its name, the console is indeed a contemporary-looking piece of furniture with nothing but clean simple straight lines, right angles, and an equilateral triangle.
Constructed from Brazilian Cherry Wood, the Furnitech FT64NH is a sturdy console that can take the weight of a huge flat panel HDTVs with a screen size of up to 60 inches, plus those of the other components of your home entertainment system.
It consists of a stack of three drawers installed in the middle which are flanked by a pair of cabinets. The top drawer has a mesh front as it is designed for extra speakers, while the other two have the same Brazilian Cherry as that of the main console body. It is in front of these drawers that the triangular accent, made of exotic Sucupira wood, is mounted. The lighter texture of the Sucupira stands out against the darker wenge of the console's body.
The two cabinets on the sides of the console occupy its entire height. They are protected with smoked glass doors framed with solid wood. No door handles are necessary as they are closed with latches that release the doors when pushed.
Behind each of the glass doors is a pair of adjustable shelves and one fixed shelf, which is actually to bottom of the console. Blu-ray disc players, game consoles, amplifiers, and other audiovisual devices are installed on these shelves. Although the cabinets are covered, the back panel is ventilated, and even removable, to allow air to circulate and cool your devices. A wire management system is likewise included for an organized and neat interconnection among your equipment.
