Assembled out of engineered wood that is laminated both to provide a smooth and shiny surface as well as extra protection from scratches and nicks, the Nexera Eclipse Plasma LCD TV Stand is a sturdy piece of furniture. Indeed, it can support most flat panel HDTVs, whether LCD or the heavier plasma, with screen sizes of up to 60 inches.
The design of the Eclipse is plain and simple, definitely contemporary. Owing to this simplicity, it can be installed in most rooms. Its rather sedate dark espresso finish further contributes to its elegance and class.
Immediately below the stand's top is a large full-width open storage space. This, however, is broken up into three compartments by three dividers, which have the added function of supporting the weight of the flat panel HDTV on the stand. You can install your Blu-ray disc player, game console, extra speakers, or cable TV box in this area. At the back panel are grommets for the passage and organization of the wires and cables of your various audiovisual devices.
There are also three large and deep drawers under the open area. Here you can keep you DVD collection, remote controls, 3D glasses, joysticks, headphones, and other peripherals of your home entertainment system. Curved metal handles of European design are fitted on the drawer fronts.
The Nexera Eclipse Plasma LCD TV Stand is raised from the floor by four sturdy metal legs. In order to cope with uneven floors, the legs are adjustable.
Although the stand is delivered unassembled, it is easy to put together because it employs European cam lock quick assembly system.
Dimensions of the stand are 20.5" H x 56.13" W x 19.75" D. It weighs 107 pounds.
