Designed to accommodate flat panel TV sets with screen sizes of up to 65 inches, the Techcraft BAY6028B Flat Panel TV Stand has a width that stretches to 60 inches. It has a depth of 20 inches, which, along with its substantial width, provides plenty of room for your home entertainment system's components. It is 28 inches high, which is the ideal height for viewing a huge TV screen from your couch or even your bed.
Constructed along contemporary design concepts, the stand consists of simple open shelves and two cabinets enclosed by doors with a wide frame and a glass panel divided into lights like a French door.
One of the shelves is immediately below the top and it runs the entire width of the stand. It is open not only in front but on its sides as well. The back, however, is closed, and it incorporates additional support for the stand's top. You can install your Blu-ray disc player, game console, or TV cable box on this shelf. If, however, you have supplementary speakers, you can move two of the three to the lower shelves and place the speakers instead.
The two lower open shelves are in the middle of the stand, flanked by the two cabinets with doors. Although both the sides and back are closed, there are elongated openings in the back panel for the passage of wires connecting your audiovisual equipment with each other.
Use the cabinets for your collection of DVDs or CDs, remote controls, 3d active shutter glasses, and the other peripherals of your entertainment system. Each has two shelves for these.
Constructed from engineered wood, the top shelf of the stand is strong enough to support a 200-pound TV set. The open shelf below it, on the other hand, can take a load of 66 pounds. The component shelves have a capacity of 33 pounds, while those at the bottom can carry 66 pounds.
The Techcraft BAY6028B Flat Panel TV Stand is colored black, although a walnut-finished version is also available.
